RQM: Parent Test Plan not shown for child Test Plans

In RQM the Parent Test Plan is shown for test cases linked to a test plan.
For a child test plan which has also a link to a parent test plan the Parent Test Plan is not shown in the "Related column".
Any reasons why it is not displayed?

Hi Joerg, 

The "Parent test Plan" that you see for a Test Case lists all the Test plans that the test case may be associated with.
It is not a "Parent Test Plan" in the sense of parent/child Test plan hierarchy.
For a child Test Plan, you will see a link to the associated parent Test Plan  in Summary section as  "Master Test Plan".

sorry but I can not see a link to the master test plan.
Is there something else to do?

Master Child Test Plan

What version of RQM are you using?  If using 4.0.4 or 4.0.5   ( and maybe 4.0.3 too), you could be running into defect Master test plan is not listed under summary section of child plan (102495). it is fixed in 4.0.6.

The screenshots are done with 4.0.6 RC1 (sandbox).

Hi Joerg,


I just tested this using 4.0.6 RC1 ( sandbox)  and I do see the Master test plan ( after refreshing child test plan). I didn't have to do anything special.

Probably I didn't refresh, although I was sure I did. Anyway with 4.0.6 RC1 it works.
