How can dashboard widget "Execution Status by Test Case Category ..." show Global Categories for Test Cases?

I have created a Global Category which is associated to Test Case, Test Script and Test Suite.

When configuring the dashboard widget "Execution Status by Test Case Category ..." (set filters for Test Plan, Iteration, ...) only the Test Case Categories, but NOT the global categories that are defined for Test Cases can be selected.

Is there a chance to integrate global categories as filter for this kind of bar diagram?

Currently, the global categories are not supported in these charts. Please open an enhancement for this. However, there are several dashboard widgets that would support global categories via the use of the saved queries, such as 'Team Execution Status for Test Cases' and 'Test Artifact' viewlets.

Is there an easy way to "transfer" a global category to an artifact category (without losing the category values selected in the artifacts)?
I'm asking just in case the widgets you recommended (that do support global categories) won't fit our needs...
