While linking DOORS requirement to test case of RQM, How to show only specific column to link it.

ttgupta Gupta (1514) | asked Aug 01 '18, 4:16 a.m.

 Hi,

When we link requirement of DOORS to RQM Test case, by default it selects column "ID" and "Content" of DOORS even if I select any specific view(Which contains some customized column) then still there is no choice to link to any other column except column "ID" and "Content" in DOORS.

I want to link Requirement to Test Case by using any specific Column link any Custom Column of DOORS with Test Case.

Can anyone please guide how to implement this.

Awaiting for your reply.
Advance Thanks!!

Gupta,

No, you can not link test case to specific column (attribute) of DOORS requirement.

You can link Test case to DOORS requirement and it uses 'ID : Requirement Text ' as link label. This link label is only meant for link identification. You can get the requirement view from delegated UI as well as clicking on it will redirect you the requirement in DOORS. Could you share use case on why do you want to link test case to specific column attribute?

Note: Added DOORS tag to your question for DOORS team to check.

Mehul

Hi Mehul,

Thanks for the reply.
Using Reconcil feature user can create the test cases in RQM, if requirement is linked with Test plan
Can we pass specific column name for the test case title when we generate automatic test case in RQM using Reconcil feature.

Can you please suggest.

Gupta,

No, these testcase title have been auto-generated as per the requirement summary while creating multiple testcases. Though you can edit it later but while creating the testcases from reconcile view, you can not specify specific column name as testcase name.
