How can I generate some source code analytics from RTC 6.0.4?

 We are using RTC 6.0.4 and I have some users who would like to generate a report of the number of added/modified/deleted lines of code for a component/stream/project over a period of time.  So far, I haven't found anything within RTC to give this information.  Am I overlooking something?  Does anyone know of a third party solution that provides this?  Any idea if it is doable using the RTC Java API (other than pulling down the files from two different baselines and running diffs....)
