Putting the date in a field instead of history

CLM 602, (soon 604)

Hello,

In ClearQuest, when we moved between workflow states, we added a date and a perl script:

New State / Date New
Assigned State / Date Assigned
....
Closed State / Date Closed.

Which was good for querying and excel reports. Also, for management who just wanted a view of when work moved to a specific date, or through it.

  1. In RTC, is there an example someone made for me getting the dates in to a field instead of history?
  2. In 604, it seems i can report on dates of status changes, but how do you show in table format
    • id, date new, date assigned, ...., date closed
    • id, date new, date assigned, ...., date closed

Hi,
I'm not exactly sure what your question is, but since you mentioned "report" in (2) above, are you asking for something like this?

Hello Amy,

This is exactly what I am seeking. Is there a certain version that I have to be on to get the report you have above? Are you designating the "state/dates" to show in the report or is it "automagically" showing the columns as it finds dates for those states?

thanks
