Mail Template allow to automate mail to send only for defect work item with Severity option in RTC

Whenever Defect work item raised,  "Severity" option include in the HTML format will send the automated mail and the automated mail should not include Severity option in case, other than Defect work item has been raised. Can anyone help on this to achieve.

Madhu,

short of writing a server side plugin to trigger on work item save there is no automation within RTC to achieve what you want.
This is why we have written a generic RTC Plugin ("Ready for Rational" approved) triggering on work item save / change set link changes which allows to easily model and deploy exactly what you are asking for. Feel free to look it up and contact us.
