Deleting link when deleting an artifact

Hi guys,

My scenario is...I have a test case that is linked to a requirement artifact in RDNG by the "Validate" link type. I deleted the requirement artifact, but in the test case, the link to it remains appearing.

Is this behaviour corrrect? When deleting an artifact, the links to it shouldn't be deleted too?

Thanks for help.

Luiz Cesar.

No, that behavior is likely not desired. The tool version would have been interesting as the link storage mechanisms have changed over time which could have an impact.

Ralph,

If I understood, when I deleted a requirement artifact, the link to it should be deleted too in RQM, right?

Sorry, the english is not my native language.

Hi Luiz,

neither is it mine.

Yes, if an artifact gets deleted, links to that artifact (version) should be deleted. There should be no links with dangling ends. I would consider this a defect.

Note, with global configuration management it becomes more complicated, as deleted might mean different things based on artifact versions and streams.

Ok, Ralph.

I understood now. So I will open a PMR.

Thank you so much.

Regards,
Luiz Cesar.
