RTC 6.0.3: Is there a way to display a decimal field as a currency?

I have several decimal attributes that are storing dollar values. I want to be able to display those fields in the Work Item presentation layer as currency and not just a decimal field.

Has there been any update on this capability in 7.x?

The only real way would be to create a new read-only calculated field and add it beside the editable one.

Is there a point where the value becomes read only? You could then set the editable field visibility to make it go away and just leave the read only calculated field
