Hi Anderson,

You can use repotools-<app> -backupJFSIndexes to backup text indices and work item indices and this command must be run with the server online.

- Fulltext index: there is no way of ensuring a consistent backup of the files of this indexing technology without performing a server shutdown.

So to make a backup of Fulltext index a shutdown is necessary.
