Prefix change in DOORS doesn't get reflect in RQM.

I am changing the value of prefix in DOORS thick client-
1. Opened a module in Exclusive Edit Mode.
2. Selected Module properties.
3. Changed attribute "ReqID" value in DOORS against "prefix".

My DOORS requirement are linked to test cases, so I need to understand how prefix in RQM under requirement link tab will change? After changing the prefix value in DOORS, its still showing the older value of prefix in RQM.
Please help.
