Can we insert an attribute inside an artifact in DOORS Next Generation?

Hi All,

Is there any way to add an attribute inside an artifact in DOORS Next Generation..
I have a Table inside an artifact where I have one of the field with Author Name to be updated with the user who modifies the Table Contents .

Also,Whether any solution is available to retrieve the author name in the Word Document using Queries in Rational Publishing Engine ?

 Further to this, Environment Details are:

DOORS Next Generation: 5.0.2
Rational Publishing Engine:1.3
Operating System: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
