Multiple planned for in a signle work item - RTC 6.0.1

Praveen Chougala (31833) | asked Jun 07 '16, 8:33 a.m.
 Hi,

As a PO i would like to plan my epics in a release plan. I need to do some forecast here.

I have an epic which I forecast & estimate it would take 3 sprints to be delivered.

Does RTC allow to select more than one 'Planned for' value ? So that in my release plan (Schedule variance view) , the bars are displayed accordingly for 3 sprint dates .

Is this possible in RTC? to be able to assign multiple values for 'Planned for' attribute ?

Thanks,
Praveen

Typically what you would do is build an iteration hierarchy that has all the sprints you planned to do for this release.

then when u build the release plan, you select the release level iteration.  epics get assigned to the release iteration, storys to the sprint iterations.

story = work that gets done in one iteration
epic   = work that requires multiple iterations to complete
theme = work that requires multiple epics to complete.
