Unable to start JTS: 'Failed to allocate default memory space'

Scott McBride (12610) | asked May 05 '16, 12:23 p.m.
I installed CLM 6.0.2 on a Windows 8.1 virtual machine.

When I run the server.startup.bat file as an Administrator in the command window, the following messages appear:

JVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library j9gc27(5): Failed to allocate default memory spaceError: Could not create the Java virtual machine.

Does anyone know what would cause this, and what the remedy is?

Thank you.

In simple term, you don't have enough physical memory. If in doubt, reboot the machine and try again.

Consider too that Windows 8 is not a supported platform for JTS
