Migrating data from IBM RTC to HP QC

Nilay Priyadarshi (11) | asked Apr 26 '16, 3:27 a.m.
I have been using RTC -both web based and tool based versions as of now. I want to migrate all the defects, tasks, requirements or the other relevant information stored for my project area to HP QC.
What should be the steps to-
1. Migrate all the data- Requirements, Tasks, Defects, Queries etc.
2. Maintain tag based filtering which we used in RTC, to QC, after migration. This would be essential so that we can pull relevant defects from QC just like we used to do in RTC, later.
3.Maintain mapping between parent defect and child defect.
4. Migrate Screenshots attached with the defects.

Thank you,

Nilay P.

I would suggest to talk to the vendor of that product (Hewlett Packard), as vendors usually try to provide tools to on-board from competitive tools. Tasktop provides synchronizers between tools of different vendors and could be an approach for a migration.
