Remove rank and retrieve rank 1 when an item is done

Benjamin Chauviere (37128) | asked Dec 07 '15, 4:32 a.m.
Hello,

We are using rank but here are our 2 concerns.
1. Once we set a digit for a rank, how to come back to 'Not Ranked' value ?
2. We set rank from 1 to 10, great but then the items with rank 1, 2 are done, so we still have the items in the backlog from 3 to 10,
when we add new items, we would like to set them as new rank 1, 2 but if you do this it changes the items done with. Should we conclude that for all the life cyle of the product backlog plan there will be only and only one rank 1 (whatever its status), then meaning that if we complete items from 1 to 48 (we are using a Kanban board persistent), in the product backlog the next first priority will be rank 49 and if we add a new top priority item, we will have to rank it to 49 ? (it is a bit confused that the top priority is rank 49)

Thank you for your clarification,

You can drag the ranked item in amongst the "Not Ranked" and that work item will be Not Ranked.   In Web UI use the drag handle displayed as a 2 by 3 matrix of dots.
