Is there a release date for CLM 6.0.1?

I have a staging server that I would like to upgrade to version 6.0.1.  Is there a release date for when this version will be formally released?  I know there is a 6.0.1 "Release Candidate" but if the main release is due out soon, I would prefer to wait for that one.

If I do install the 6.0.1 RC, is it easy enough to convert it to the major release?

The calendar shows a release date of 2015-12-18.

Thank you!  This is very helpful.  I'm assuming that if I go to the website after 12/18/2015, I will be able to download the new version.
