Are you able to telnet to that port no from the machine where u installed clm 5.0. Also please check on the firewall on the mail server.

I am able to telnet to the port on which CLM 5.0 is installed. I have tried with firewall ON/OFF on the mail server.Its not working.

Please change the "Use STARTTLS " to "true" in email settings and try by default its in false state .
