How to restrict users selecting past iterations in "Planned For" attribute

Balamurugan Selvarasu (331430) | asked Sep 26 '15, 6:44 a.m.
 Hi,

I want to achieve the below behavior in RTC.
  • The user should be able to plan a work item for current iteration
  • The user should be able to plan a work item for a future iteration
  • The user should not be able to plan a work item for an past iteration
Anyone achieved this in RTC?

Option 1) Archive the Iteration. Archive button is only available in the web client.

Option 2)
Create Iteration type "Completed" and remove all permissions for this iteration type. All permissions for this Iteration type is unchecked.
Whenever an Iteration is completed, change its type of "Completed" and user would not be able to save any work item for that "Planned For".

 Hi,

I could see the second option can be applicable for current iteration.
