Sizing Details required for enhancing RQM DB

Rajesh Avanthi (10815138173) | asked Sep 21 '15, 7:03 a.m.
We have a requirement where close to 200 (peak size) members will be onboarding into RQM.
Current size of RQM is close to 15 GB and we expect approximately 10000-15000 test cases  with a test step break down to  approximately 100,000- 120,000 steps will be created in repository.

Hence, requesting you to let us know the feasibility of enhancing RQM DB from 15GB to 100 GB and other impacts if there are any

This would be more impacted by:
  • Storage capacity on the database server.  If it only has 50G of available storage, that will be the limit of the database size
  • configuration of specific tablespaces to allow automatic growth
  • regular statistics gathering, index and table reorganization checks
DB2 provides means to take care of 2nd two, I cannot speak to other DBMS that are supported, but I imagine that they can..
