RTC: Is it possible to update work item type IDs?

hi,
I created some work item types, but I mistakenly type a wrong ID. I would like to correct that because it is causing confusion to some people, who are using my project area configuration as sample for their own project area configuration.

Is there a way to modify those IDs?

Once a work item type has been created, I don't think you can change its type.
You can create a new work item type with correct ID, and in "Add Type" windows select "Existing Category" to use the same attribute and workflow as the old type.

The problem is that the Category ID is incorrect too. As well as the Editor Presentation IDs. And I have many workitems already created based on that type. Creating a new one would represent a lot of work.

thank you for clarifying that once created the IDs cannot be changed.
