Federated Repositories in Jazz

Michael Alberda (2311648) | asked May 04 '15, 7:30 a.m.
Good Day,

I have configured Federated repositories in WebSphere Application Server v8.5.0.2 and am able to search users from both Active directories in WAS.

What needs to be adjusted in Jazz in order to be able to search/import from both repositories? I tried changing the User Registry Type to 'DETECT', however, I only get the option to create a user and the option to import is then disabled.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Michael Alberda

Hi Michael,

There are some caveats when using Federated realm with CLM (including the impossibility to import users from multiple LDAP servers). I hope the following article answers your question:

https://jazz.net/library/article/604

In case you have set your Registry Type to UNSUPPORTED (for WAS file-based realm), you won't be able import the WAS users into RTC. You would need to manualy create users in Jazz with the same user ID you have created in WAS. (You will need to maintan 2 lists of users separately).

More information can be found here:

Hope that helps.
