Ask a question

can creating a work item auto-email the team lead?

Steve Francisco (26139) | asked Jun 02 '09, 1:35 p.m.
I have a project area with a few team areas under it. When someone creates a new work item and selects one of the work item categories under "Filed against", I would like the team lead for that to get an email notification. Is that possible to configure? It doesn't seem to happen for me right now. I did associate the team area and work item category in the project area editor. I'm using RTC 1.0.1.1

Thanks for any help.

This is not supported yet, unless the team lead is added as subscriber
to the work item. Since we use feeds for notifications, our best
practise is to create a new query subscription for recently created and
unassigned work items. Once new items match the query, the feed will
automatically show new entries. These feeds can be added, e.g. to Team
Central Event Log.
