Missing Roles upon project creation

I have an existing project. I created a template off of that project. When I created a new project using the template I just created it does not have any roles. Why is this the case? How can I rectify this?

The first thing I will check is whether roles exist in the template. You can use RTC Eclipse client to open the template in the Process Template view and switch to the Process Configuration tab. Or you can check the Process Configuration Source (specification.txt) - they should be in the <role-definitions> section.
