[RDNG] - Access Control - Who's "everyone" ?

On the "Access Control" option in the Project Area Administration, who does "everyone" refer to?
(I can think of, at least, unauthenticated users OR users that exist on the jazz server but don't have access to the PA.)

Correction: That's for permissions. Access Control is here:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_5.0.1/com.ibm.jazz.platform.doc/topics/t_restricting_read_access_to_project.html?cp=SSYMRC_5.0.1&lang=en

Granting access to Everyone allows all logged in users to see the item.

@websmith - Thanks, but I have 2 considerations regarding the second link you posted:

1. That specific help page is for RTC, not RDNG. Is this Access Control really a valid option in RDNG?
2. That page doesn't clarify who's meant by "everyone".
  • To grant access to all users, select Everyone.
The extent of "all users" is still unclear to me.

Yes the project set up is the same. The Doors Next Generation help
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.rrm.help.doc/topics/t_get_start_admin_reqs_projs.html

for set up points to the same set up for RTC Projects...
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.jazz.platform.doc/topics/c_getting_started_project_areas_and_lifecycle_projects.html

and CLM access control
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.jazz.repository.web.admin.doc/topics/c_understand_user_access_control.html

Access rights for "Everyone" should imply that any logged in user can see the content.  Usually access is restricted to members of the project area or a team area in the project area. Some teams prefer an access list.

Everyone refers to every contributor even if they do not have a set role.

"All users in the repository have the default Everyone role. Even if a user is not a member of a project area, that user has the permissions assigned to the Everyone role for that project area. If you need to restrict users who are not members of the project area from performing certain operations, you must disable that operation from the Everyone (default) role and enable it for one or more other roles."
