Ifix patch on never started 5.0.2 application
This question is in relation to:
SSLV3 Ifix We're scheduled to upgrade to 5.0.2 on 21st March, I've installed the GA with the components we need. This is more of a safety question: Since these applications have not yet been launched, the patch will get seen automatically [ assuming in put the patch down properly ] ? Second question: On FixCentral following any application link from above the ultimate download has the exact same name CLM_502_iFix002.zip even though the lead-up indicates there might be differences e.g. on RDNG: interim fix: 5.0.2-Rational-DNG-ifix002 Rational DOORS Next Generation, Version 5.0.2 ifix002 I have to follow these paths ( FixCentral ) as we have distributed our applications. The readme contents are different, but since the download file is always the CLM_502_iFix002.zip : Is there ONLY the one file for ANY application ? Downloading "all" to separate files shows all are exact same size with same content ( according to unzip -l ) CLM_502_iFix002-clm.zip Archive: CLM_502_iFix002-clm.zip Length Date Time Name --------- ---------- ----- ---- 19023 02-01-2015 22:51 readme.txt 1481 02-01-2015 22:55 readme-dcc.txt 3496 02-01-2015 23:15 readme-jrs.txt 35017946 01-08-2015 15:07 reporting-war_5.0.2.v20141215_2353.zip 8079084 01-30-2015 13:38 UpdateSiteFor502iFix002.zip 2720266 01-30-2015 13:36 CLM_server_patch_5.0.2.0-CALM502M-I20150128-2153.zip 3424225 01-08-2015 15:07 DCC_patch_dcc502-I20141231_1200.zip --------- ------- 49265521 7 files CLM_502_iFix002-rndg.zip Archive: CLM_502_iFix002-rndg.zip Length Date Time Name --------- ---------- ----- ---- 19023 02-01-2015 22:51 readme.txt 1481 02-01-2015 22:55 readme-dcc.txt 3496 02-01-2015 23:15 readme-jrs.txt 35017946 01-08-2015 15:07 reporting-war_5.0.2.v20141215_2353.zip 8079084 01-30-2015 13:38 UpdateSiteFor502iFix002.zip 2720266 01-30-2015 13:36 CLM_server_patch_5.0.2.0-CALM502M-I20150128-2153.zip 3424225 01-08-2015 15:07 DCC_patch_dcc502-I20141231_1200.zip --------- ------- 49265521 7 files |

Hi Kevin,
1. yes, if the patch is laid down correctly, it should be picked up during the start of the server. This patch can be applied before the migration starts. 2. There is only one cumulative iFix which contains fixes for all the CLm products. even though the iFix is installed on a server with a sub set of the CLM applications, only the relavent fixes should be picked up. Hope this adresses your concerns. -Abraham Kevin Ramer selected this answer as the correct answer
