Hi Anitha

You can configure a work item that matches selected types or states, so that it is only saved if selected attributes are unchanged.
Follow the below knowledgecenter URL:
Configuring read-only attributes for work item type and work item state:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_5.0.2/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_configuring_readonly_type_state.html?lang=en

Hi Anitha

The steps will work for any custom attribute.

For the Add preconditions, select this precondition: Required Attributes For Type and State. Now, Configure the attributes that must be unchanged.

Please check and let us know if this helps.
