When I am trying to create a LifeCycle Project, I am getting following error in creation of project area in Requirements:

Error instantiating the template: CRJCA0003E The Lifecycle Project Administration (LPA) application made a request that was answered by an unexpected response code.

Error 400: Bad Request Error 400: Bad Request CRRRS3760W Error: Project template with ID Requirements Template for Testers does not exist. (More info found at entry [2b167cd74e4c5c0f] in the RM application server log) Requirements Management/4.0.2

The same error is seen for all process/project templates:
Requirement Template for Tester.
Usecase Requirements Template.
Agile Requirements Template.
Traditional Requirements Template.

Process/Project templates for RRC are displayed but not actually available for use...

any help will be truely appreciated!

Hello,
Can you include the entry in the rm.log from this problem?  And to clarify, if you create a RM project only using a template (non LPA project) does the same error appear?

Thanks Erica...

When I attempt to create RM project individually, system allows me for that. There is one template "Rational Requirements Server Template" and using this I can create stand alone RM project... the above template is not present at the time of Lifecycle project creation.
trace of my rm log is too big to paste here... may i email you please?

There are a couple of ways to create an RM project.  If you are logged into rm/web and then click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner, there should be an option in the menu called "create project area".  This create project wizard should have a list of RM project template that you can choose from.  Can you just include the small excerpt of the log for the error?

The error in the log is consistent with the one you reported in the UI.  In a rm project, if you go into project properties, select the templates tab and do not see templates with the names mentioned, then you can try to see if you can download it from another 4.0.2 environment and import it to the server where it is missing.  If you do see the template listed, I would suggest opening a PMR for further investigation.
