Does JRS support Rhapsody Design Manager?

Manohar Rao (2211115) | asked Nov 03 '14, 4:42 p.m.
A customer has installed RELM which has automatically installed JRS. Within JRS, when picking LQE as the data source for building a report, only RM, QM and CCM are available for artifact types. How does the user get DM included as well? Their LQE is set up to index DM as well as the other applications.

Hi Manohar,

Can you provide information about which DM artifacts the customer would be most interested in?
Thanks,
Theresa

 Hi Theresa,

The customer would be most interested in all modeling artifacts (e.g., Blocks, Classes, Associations, Dependencies, etc.), including support for domains, both system-defined (such as UML and SysML), and user-defined.

 Hello,

The JRS only supports CCM, DNG and RQM as the main domains for reporting against both the LQE and Data Warehouse data sources.  Rhapsody DM is not currently supported, though could be considered in a future release.

Hi Steve,

We have installed 5.0.2 CLM iFix010 but cannot find DM an its artifact types.

Can you please let us know in which version it could be implemented.

 Hello Kanagasabapathi,

This is on our road map for this year - possibly even 6.0.3 (with all usual disclaimers).  It's an important part of our overall story for Reporting in CLM.

When it is available you would need to set-up a server with the LQE (Lifecycle Query Engine) data source.  This data source has been designed to be extensible and flexible to all types of domain data.  We would integrate Design Manager data through this data source.

Regards,

-Steve
