Scope of Trace Link
Do trace links have scope within a DOORS NG requirements management project?
I have artifact X which I linked (with a LINK TO relationship) to artifact Y when the artifact X was being displayed as a member of a module.
I then linked artifact X (with a LINK TO relationship) to a artifact Z when artifact X was being displayed in a list of artifacts. There are no filters or views set.
I expected anytime I view artifact X all links to artifact X will show in the right side bar but this is not the case. When I look at artifact X from the module I only see the link to artifact Y. When I look at the artifact X from the artifact list I only see the link to artifact Z.
Is this expected behavior of the tool?

Hello Cynthia,
Artifact links are scoped to the Module. So the link of artifact X from the module to artifact y, will not appear at the project level, when you are looking at artifact X. The link will appear only within the module.
However, the links to artifact X at the project level (where X is considered a base artifact), can be toggled on or off in the module, by clicking on the "Include links, tags, and comments from base artifact" button.
Hope this answer helps.
