Is it possible / wise to install RTC on openSUSE linux (enterprise edition, terminal session without GUI)
I'm thinking about documentation / future updates / maintenance / ...

Hi N,
Let me answer from the support perspective. According to OpenSUSE is not in the list of officially supported. That means that we haven't tested it how it works. It might work but there is a risk to put production data there.

From technical perspective:
You can try using Interactive Installation guide to get instructions: Please select IBM Installation Manager command-line to be able install it from cmd.

I can find this in the list: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11 x86-64.
So i will try using this operating system.

Although I have not tried that myself, I don't see the reason why it should be not possible. It is used with all kinds of Linux distributions.

Is it wise? I think it would be wise to stick with the supported system requirements.
