Hi N,
Let me answer from the support perspective. According to https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/CLMSystemRequirements50#A1_Server_Operating_Systems OpenSUSE is not in the list of officially supported. That means that we haven't tested it how it works. It might work but there is a risk to put production data there. From technical perspective: You can try using Interactive Installation guide to get instructions: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_5.0.0/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/roadmap_form.html?lang=en. Please select IBM Installation Manager command-line to be able install it from cmd. Please let me know f that helps. @tmok - do you have any further comments? N. I can find this in the list: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11 x86-64.
So i will try using this operating system.

Although I have not tried that myself, I don't see the reason why it should be not possible. It is used with all kinds of Linux distributions.
Is it wise? I think it would be wise to stick with the supported system requirements. |
