CLM 5.0 Data Collection Component for registering

Hi,
I try to register "Data collection Component" application. During setup process(jts/setup), it needs to configure database(DCC DB) before DWH step. We're using MSSQL Server databases for CLM applications and but I can't find any details about database spec.(collation...) for DCC.
Is there any document related to it? I think there is no explanation on CLM 5.0 Documentation.
Thanks

I don't think MSSQL is supported. You can refer to https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.dcc.doc/topics/t_preinstall_database.html about database preparation, which only has DB2, Oracle and SQL server.

Hi Eray,

SQL Server is supported and you can create the database the same way you do your other CLM databases.  Then once you get to the setup portion for DCC, enter the connection string the same way you're used to with the other apps.  We're working on the documentation updates.  Hope it helps!

For RM collation is SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_CS_AS,

and DWH SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS. For DCC Database, which collation should we use?

And also I tried with CP1_CS_AS. After then, on creating tables it gives an error:

The database creation failed with an exception
com.ibm.team.repository.common.TeamRepositoryException: The database is not set to support case-sensitivity in string...

@bsilverm - Very, very glad to hear that you are working on documentation updates! The RRDI 5.0 installation documentation is ... inscrutable, to put it politely. Please, hurry!

Thanks,

Hi Eray,

That is expected.  You need to contact support to obtain a patch that contains the mapping files.

Which release will include the patch? Or where can I download the patch? I'm testing CLM 5.0.1 and encountered this problem.

RRDI 5.0.1 GA should include the mapping files. Not sure about the current RC1.

This was NOT fixed in 5.0.1.  There is still a hot fix that needs to be applied.  Check the Release Notes and/or All Downloads page under the RRDI 5.0.1 release.

They are not in the RRDI package but can be downloaded directly from jazz.net: https://jazz.net/downloads/RRDI/releases/5.0.1?p=allDownloads see the Data Collection Component fixes section.

Hi Eray

I am not much sure as i have not tried, the Data Collection Component dB might use the content store collation as below:
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

Let me know if this helps.

Rohit

 Hi Rohit,

I tried again with SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS and it doesn't give "case sensivity message". But it gives on dcc/web page following message:

Error 500: CRRCD4515E ETL storage does not contain any map groups.

Hi Eray

Did you tried with SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CIAS. Please confirm.
You have mentioned SQL_Latin1_General_CP1
CS_AS.

Hi Rohit,
Sorry for wrong and missing explanation.
Firstly, I tried with SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS and it gave "case sensivity message" error.
Secondly, I tried with SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS and it doesn't give the message.
--------------
But I still have problem dcc/web

Error 500: CRRCD4515E ETL storage does not contain any map groups.

Thanks

I have the same Problem like Eray izgin.

I also get the message: Error 500: CRRCD4515E ETL storage does not contain any map groups.

My configuration:

JTS/RTC/RM/QM on one VM with WAS and DB2

DCC on a second VM ContentDB is a derby DB and the DatawarehouseDB (DB2) is stored on first VM

What can I do to fix the Problem?

Hi Stefan,

Which version are you using?  If 5.0, you need to contact support to obtain a hotfix.  If you're on 5.0.1, apply the fix found on this page.
