Can the permissions for the JazzProjectAdmins group be modfied?

Hugo Hernandez (56) | asked Mar 21 '17, 5:08 p.m.

We are making an implementation of CLM in PROD. We would like to assign certain roles only to IT people, but we still want the users to be able to do their job properly. We would like to assign some very experienced users to the JazzProjectAdmins group. However, we don't want users to be able to create project areas. Is it possible to remove this functionality from the JazzProjectAdmins group? Can be a new jazz group created?

Thanks,

Hi, Hugo

I don't see any way to customize jazz repository group permissions obviously. The JazzProjectAdmins permission is intended for users who need to create project areas. The project administrator of a project area does not need JazzProjectAdmins permission to manage that project area. In your case, you can create a new role only for some experienced users if you want to have some control over permissions, repository group permission can be jazzuser instead of jazzProjectAdmin. In the new role, you specify more permissions to those users so that they can have more power in using the products.
