Why separate databases instead of schemas for MS SQL with RTC?

Mike Shkolnik (9808160143) | asked Jun 24 '14, 1:19 p.m.
Our DBA wants to know why we have to have separate databases for RTC with SQL Server 2012? The instructions for Oracle use multiple schemas in the same database but the instructions for SQL, even with RTC 5.x which drops support for older than SQL 2012, still uses separate databases instead of schemas. MS SQL has supported multiple schemas since SQL 2005. Can someone please explain this?

Hi Mike,

There's no other explanation for this, than Legacy!
For Oracle , my understanding it was an RFE opened to review this option to create database to create different schemas.
I believe the same can be done for SQLSERVER.
