Jazz Team Server Unable to Connect to SQL Server Database - Error ID CRJAZ1579E & CRJAZ2654E (SQLSTATE: S0001, SQLCODE: 18456)
I am facing an issue during the Jazz Team Server (JTS) configuration test where it is unable to connect to the SQL Server database. The error details are as follows:
I'm using MSSQL Evaluation Edition 2017 and the Microsoft JDBC Driver 4.2 for SQL Server. And then, i connected the driver to SQL Server by creating an environment variable. But diring the setup process , i have faced such error that i mentioned. Can anyone provide guidance or troubleshooting steps for connecting the JDBC driver with SQL Server by resolving the connection issue? Any specific pointers on what else I should check? Thanks! |

You didn't mention which version of the ELM products you are working with. Note that we dropped support for Microsoft SQL Server in recent releases. You can use Db2 Standard Edition (it's included with your ELM product license entitlements--see the optional downloads page) or Oracle. Comments

I'm using ELM liberty server 7.0.2 SR1 7.0.2 is the last release that works with SQL Server, so I expect you can get it to work. Since you will need to do a database migration before upgrading to a later release, I encourage you to think about starting with Db2 or Oracle instead.

Hi Daniel,
Shridharan is trying to perform a pilot on MS SQL Server to Oracle migration. And we are stuck on bringing the MS SQL configurations for ELM correct. Please share any jazz wiki references to MS SQL server installations for ELM.

I'm trying to perform a pilot on MS SQL Server to Oracle migration. And we are stuck on bringing the MS SQL configurations for ELM version 7.0.2 SR1 during setup process . Please share any jazz wiki references to MS SQL server installations for ELM 7.0.2 SR1. I have been successful finding stuff by adding site:jazz.net to my search. e.g.
also search for the error codes. I would assume your connection settings are incorrect. E.g. I found https://jazz.net/forum/questions/286140/getting-error-crjaz2654e-the-server-was-unable-to-connect-to-the-database-because-the-database-connection-settings-are-invalid-or-because-database-is-unreachable-sqlstate-0-while-executing-lockreset-command
