Set the Executable property for files in RTC client on zLinux

 Hi,

Problem Description:
When we load our project workspace on zLinux machine using RTC client plugin V 3.0.1.1 with Eclipse V 4.3.2
all the loaded files (*.java/*.txt/*.properties/*.xml/*.exe etc etc) get into the "unresolved" pending queue.
A file difference between the file in the unresolved to the one available on the server shows the "Executable"
property difference with a value set to false to the file in unresolved To a value true for the file available on the RTC server.

How can we change this property for all the files in the RTC client on zLinux? Should we set some property on the RTC server?

We are facing this problem only on Zlinux whereas the same works all fine on windows/linux/AIX/Solaris.

Any inputs would be helpful as we are stuck and unable to proceed with RTC client on zLinux with a product deliverable around the corner.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
preethi

Can you try this again with Java 6 virtual machine instead of Java 5?

There may be a bug in RTC 3.x that affected the execute bit management on z/Linux.

Thanks Chris for the response.
We are using IBM JDK 1.6 to run the eclipse RTC and see this problem.

Are you loading onto an NFS filesystem? We have seen similar problems with this in the past on NFS.

If so, try again on a non-NFS filesystem.
