CRJAZ0742I Unable to connect to the LDAP directory server

 We have two Jazz 4.0.4 Servers, one called TEST the other LIVE.                

Although those units have the same settings (they are specular in HW and SW) and both sit into the same network, we have seen the below            
error more and more in the LIVE one. Often the problem solves itself and the issue disappear.                                                       
                                                                               
"CRJAZ0742I Unable to connect to the LDAP directory server. Verify that the server application is configured properly and that the LDAP server         
is reachable"                                                                  

--> This message is seen just on admin tasks.

--> It manifests itself when we need to import/modify an user or check the licenses assigned. Users, did not report any problem.

--> Happens every time we need to check a user and verify his/her credentials                                      
                                                                                                                               
What are the causes of this intermittent problem?

--> As the error mentions, the issue is either with the configuration of LDAP in JTS server or that the LDAP server is not reachable for some reason. Most likely the latter here.                                                  

--> In this case, the issue was due to a DNS change which we were not notified. Applying the changes, the LDAP started to work like a charm.
