What is the intended usage and/or best practices for the usage of the Section attribute in Modules?

(open Module > Change Column Display Settings)

Modules are used as a hierarchical requirements document with numbered section headings and subheadings. The Section attribute shows the section number and changes as various requirements are promoted or demoted.

This help topic talks about modifying the hierarchical structure:

Also when searching for artifacts in a module you can use both the artifact ID and the section number

Hopefully this helps
