Is there help to Migrate to Build Forge 8?

John Bobinyec (683432) | asked Apr 23 '14, 11:56 a.m.
We are using Build Forge (BF) 7.1.3 on Windows XP.  We now have to move our machines to Windows 7.  To that end, we need to install BF 8, and in order to do that, we need to install the Rational License Server.

- Where can I find the download for the Rational License Server?
- What is the exact name of the download package?
- Is there a support number/email that can be contacted for help?

Thanks,
John Bobinyec

 Hello,

You will get the Rational License Server from your PassPort Advantage Account and or Fix Central. You will need to have entitlements to these products in order to access the downloads. The exact download package depends on what Rational License Server you are trying to download.

Here is a doc regarding the License Server. License Server Doc

If you have purchased support, you can open up a PMR to have support help assist you through the transition. Otherwise, here is another resource to look into. SUPPORT

The SUPPORT link can help you decided what types of licenses you need and how to set it up etc. This is really something that you should be receiving from your account team or IBM Sales representative. They should be able to answer all these questions for you and they will know exactly what entitlements you have etc.

Hope this helps.
