Creation of a project area fails

Hi fellows,

I've set up a testenvironment for DM RSA and imported the basic process template.
While creating a Project Area it fails after two minutes, showing this error message:

404 :Not found.

Any hints what is wrong?

Environment:
Server w2k8 SR2
JTS/DM/VVC 4.0.6
Tomcat with local user registry
Derby DB

Licenses for DM are granted, the user has JazzAdmin rights.

I can see this PA in the overview, with (uninitialized).
If I switch to manage this PA it looks healthy, also the user interface looks fine.

JAZZ DEVELOPER

Your project was created, but failed during initialization. Normally this means the process template contains some project initializers that the target environment dose not support. So you should make sure the process template that you want to import should be exported from the same application with the same version.

I took the basic process template delivered with the installation.

Hi Georg,

Did you perform a custom setup or an express setup?
You said you tool the basic process template but did you have to deploy the process template? Normally it should be installed/deployed by default by the DM finalization.

I had once the same behavior with an other version of DM (4.0.4 if I recall well) .
In my case, to resolve this, I had to re-run the setup to make sure the VVC and DM finalization were done without errors. Rerunning the setup usually helps to "heal" the configuration.

Else, if the problem persists and you cannot reinstall, then I would suggest you to contact the IBM Rational support team.

PS:
Did you as well install the RSA Extension for Design Management Domain Extension application (RSADM.WAR)?
