RFT 8.0.0.1 should work with RQM 2.0 Beta 1. Did you exeperience any issues there?

Yes, the adapter reports that it's logged in to RQM, but RQM doesn't see the adapter. One thing I did notice is that the adapter console reports that it's reconnecting to RQM every few seconds. Is this expected behavior?

Are you using the default project area or a new project area? I thought that RFT 8.0.0.2 was needed for working with multiple project areas.

I have 2 installs on RQM 2.0: one that contains no customization or additional project areas and one that does. I'm seeing the problem with both instances (which don't run concurrently).

I seem to remember hearing or reading that the RFT 8.x adapter does work with multiple project areas, but only connects to the Quality Manger project.

Regarding 8.0.0.2: I can't seem to find it anywhere (and neither can Installation Manager), though I do see it referenced in http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=953&context=SSJMXE&context=SSDV2W&context=SSSTY3&q1=8.0.0.2&uid=swg21377449&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en What I don't know is if that tech note is referring the a future release.

The is a technote for a similar issue.

IBM Rational Functional Tester adapter does not connect properly if it is modified to connect to a different Rational Quality Manager server. The Adapter Console tab in the Rational Functional Tester Adapter displays a message, "Reconnecting to the server" but does not connect to the server.

Please do let us know if this solved your problem.

It did not solve the problem.

Hi Dan,
You might want to try deleting the following files:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your>\Application Data\IBM\RFT\RQMAdapterOptions.pref (as mentioned in the technote)
C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\IBM\RQMConnectivity\rqmadapter.ini

That did it. Thanks a bunch!
