ReqIF's limitation about a number of artifacts

Hello,

Is there any limitation or recommendation about a number of artifacts to be imported/exported?

My client uses RRC 4.0.x. They plan to import/export several tens of thousands artifacts via ReqIF. We do not use modules.

According to the following article, RRC may have some recommendation or limitation.

Exporting from Rational DOORS and importing to Rational DOORS Next Generation by using ReqIF
https://jazz.net/library/article/1243

For the initial release of Rational DOORS Next Generation, version 4.0.1, the Rational Development team established these performance recommendations:
◾ Each module has no more than 5,000 objects.
◾ The total number of objects is about 200,000

ReqIF import - how many embedded artifact levels are supported?

A: ReqIF import only supports up to 3 levels of embedding.

limitation about the number of linked artifacts to be displayed in RRC 4.0.3

https://jazz.net/forum/questions/117541/limitation-about-the-number-of-linked-artifacts-to-be-displayed-in-rrc-403

It looks like the number of displayable links is limited to 100 in the code, unless you are using IE7 as your browser, in which case the limit is 60

Thank you in advance.

 Natsumi,

There was a defect identified in the RRC 4.0.3 ReqIF export code which prevented a very large number of artifacts from being exported from RRC, but this has been fixed in the 4.0.6 release: ReqIF: Unable to Save New Definition when > 1400 artifacts (79657). Aside from this, I'm not aware of any limitations for ReqIF, outside of the performance recommendations listed in the jazz.net article https://jazz.net/library/article/1243.

Hope this helps,
