RTC 4.0.5 Cross project plan Depth of tree displayed Questions.

Phil Barrett (33911) | asked Feb 08 '14, 2:56 p.m.
I am using RTC 4.0.5 via the web. In a cross project plan I have chosen the Tree Display for Contributes To -> Tracks links with "All" selected for "Depth of tree displayed" in the plan view. However, I am only seeing one level deep being displayed from the "Tracked" project plan. My goal in a cross project plan is to dispaly the "children" of a parent task located in a "tracked" plan. Is there anything more required than setting a "Contributes To" link in a parent task in that "Tracked" plan and creating a "Planned Snapshot" in that "Tracked plan?

It does seem that you have all elements there. you may want to check with the best article on Cross Project Plan
in jazz.net:
https://jazz.net/library/article/1152

and see if it helps to some degrees. The improvement areas also lists the RFEs and you can see if your use case has fallen to one of them which is not yet achievable in the current 4.0.5 RTC.

Also some forum discussions could help:

I am confused, your (IBM) release notes documentation has it in 4.0.3, so it is avhievable I would think? I have attached the presentation below.

Unless your use case is in one of the RFEs, multiple layers should work. The descriptions in your question seem no problem to me in terms of configuration. The reason I put the article 1152 there is for you to check if you have done the same as explained to use the feature properly other than the provided setting part.
