RTC Client (silent) install using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager ?
Accepted answer
Kenneth,
installing the RTC client can be as easy as unzipping it to disk. Usually it installs with Installation Manager because that will remember
a) it is installed
b) where it is installed
c) into what is is installed, in case you use the RTC client plugin in an existing Eclipse
Seems your best two options to run this from MSSCM would be:
1. Make MSSCM copy the client Zip file to a predefined location, unzip and make a link to the eclipse.exe in the start folder
2. Make MSSCM run IBM Installation Manager in silent mode, using a response file (like Donald commented).
More info for this available in the documentation if you use the search field to look for "silent install".
If this answers your question please mark it as accepted.
Thanks,
Arne
