CLM system requirements about network
Accepted answer
network setup depends on many variables and ends up being a non-linear equation. A simple answer would never do. Mainly, your database server and WAS (or web app) server hosting the /jts should have a direct connection (no hops, possibly fiberglass linking). Everything else comes down to how many users, usage patterns, number and location of sites and who else is sharing the network.
Good news, it is only https for jazz so assisting techniques such as introducing a forward caching proxy server will work (for e.g. source code, work item attachments).
Because it is a multi-dimensional problem the team introduced the Deployment Wiki. You might find value in starting with the Deployment Monitoring and Performance Start articles, i.e. start with your current network, put it under stress with load testing and monitor where exactly it needs improvements. Clients have a monitoring tool called the Metronome which helps to screen the network connection.

Thank you for your answer and advice. But I can't quite agree with it.
In actual deployment, we need minimum system requirements about network. Because we have to judge whether it is possible to deploy CLM server in customer's current environment. For example, system requirements of ClearCase provides minimum requirements about Network. When I plan a large deployment, I really need such an information. ("minimum system requirements when we use SCM feature" etc.)
Rational ClearCase 8.0.1 Detailed hardware requirementsThanks
ClearCase server hosts
100Mb Full Duplex Minimum, 1Gb Recommended
ClearCase client hosts
Wireless 802.11g
Wired connectivity 100MB Full Duplex (recommended)
For more detailed configuration information refer to technote 1514940 CCRC WAN Server configuration guidelines for ClearCase version 8.0

Natsumi-san (correct form?!),
The system requirements for CLM 4.0.5 are also persisted in the deployment wiki. The only minimum requirement for network is IPv6 or IPv4. Regarding the performance to expect in different SCM scenarios please refer to sizing guide or tuning your RTC server.
However, no direct network configurations are given, probably because CLM runs on pretty much any network configuration. In other words: do not worry about the network ,worry about DB configuration, App Server configuration, disk configuration and deployment topology.
You can beef your network by adding forward caching proxy servers. CLM will not tax your network beyond the load of any other ordinary https:// connecting application.
Still, it is a good idea to include detailed network topology requirements in system requirements. Please feel free to log an Enhancement Request on jazz.net.
