I assume the rich text content is lost.

This was not rolled out in 4.0.4 due to various concerns and limitations.  


When this was finally implemented in 6.0.3, the Eclipse client was no longer allowed to edit the attributes that support this. If an older client tried to change the attribute, an error message would come up.
