That is, after adding new columns and objects to a module and closing/saving these changes, I manually reopen the module and the columns are gone, although the objects remain in their appropriate places. can anybody tell me how to solve this issue...

Hello Nikhil,

This issue is for DOORS Next Generation, correct?  The changes to the columns will need to be saved as a view.  You can do this with the save icon on the left pane, similar to where views are for artifacts and collections.  Views can include the column display and filtering criteria.  The next time you log in to look at your module you can select the view that was saved to display the customized columns.

I hope this helps.
