How to reimport word/excel in RRC to update existing?

How can I take a document offline in RRC so as to import back with changes in the document while requirements remain read only in the tool till the document comes online.

This works in RRC 403 where the document is not a native RRC artifact (in other words a file created by some other tool and loaded into the RRC project). Currently reimporting a document or CSV file into native RRC artifacts will create new artifacts; "merge" is not yet supported.  

I believe you can reimport a ReqIF file and replace current contents, rather than create new artifacts. Note that this is "replace" not "merge". I haven't tried this myself.
