How do you apply a permanent license ?

On the configuration page it says 'Trial license has expired'.

We followed the below steps to apply the permanent license but then it says the license is invalid.
  1.  Apply a new license for the Rational Asset Manager
    1. Go to Administration->Configuration
    2. Enter :dvngA9mSoFiA4rG0XNivInX1R823S6CezZvrzsfZoz7OIhFgF8iZKNkCAojNQnbZ in the ‘Location of license server’ field
    3. Save.

The same steps had worked on one environment but on another environment for the ram server installed there it does not work.

Also in the RTC server it does show that the license has been activated.


RAM version : 7.5.1

You will need to point to a license server.  The code above is for a specific RAM instance, and is likely time gated.

How is the license for a specific RAM instance obtained ?

Does it have a validity ?

And if we capture an image of this instance and provision another vm will the license work there ?

These type of lic. are mostly for IBM SMEs/Demos.
