Migration of RTC 3.0.1 to 4.0.1 on Windows 32 bit

Doris Wong (111) | asked Jun 24 '13, 5:15 p.m.
Is it possible to upgrade from 3.0.1 to a 4.01 environment on a Windows 32 bit machine?  I noticed that in the upgrade requirements that 64 bit is required.  We are only using this environment as a sandbox so I want to see if it is possible at all.  The sandbox is on Windows Server 2003 with Apache and DB2.  Has this been done before?

Thank you.

Not possible.  The latest versions of the Jazz applications will only run in 64-bit environments.

Hi Doris,
Just to clarify the answer from Daniel:
The applications will technicaly run on 32 bit machine. Anyway it is supported for for small-scale evaluation or demonstration purposes. Only 64-bit servers should be used to host servers running CLM applications. (https://jazz.net/library/article/1109/#mozTocId82758).
We recommend you switching to 64 bit system first and then migrate to 4.0.3 which is the latest CLM version.
