Columns added under the "Column Display setting" section does not gets saved in RQM

1. Login to RQM and open a requirement project
2. Click on "Artifacts" >> "Browse Artifacts"
3. Click on Any folder containing the requirements.
4. Click on "Change column Display Settings" and add a few columns.
5. Click OK
6. Refresh the view. You notice that the columns that were added are still retained,
7. Navigate to QM / CM project areas and come back to this Requirements project. Click on the same project folder and now you see that the added columns are not retained, rather disappeared.
Is this working as designed?

No, this is not working as designed. Column display settings should be saved for the user. I recently fixed the same issue occurring in the test script table in the test case editor (https://jazz.net/jazz02/web/projects/Rational%20Quality%20Manager#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=80345).
